Armenia is currently constructing what is expected to become the world’s tallest statue of Jesus Christ, a massive monument planned for Mount Hatis near the capital city of Yerevan.

The project, which has drawn global attention, will stand at a total height of 77 meters (252 feet), including both the statue and its pedestal. Once completed, it is expected to surpass several iconic Christian monuments around the world, including the famous Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro.

The monument is being funded by Armenian businessman and politician Gagik Tsarukyan, while architect Armen Samvelyan designed the winning concept selected from more than 200 submitted entries.

Construction officially began in 2022 on Mount Hatis, a historic volcanic peak overlooking parts of Armenia. Supporters of the project say the statue will strengthen Armenia’s Christian heritage, attract international tourism, and become a major cultural landmark for the country.

However, the project has also sparked criticism and debate within Armenia. Environmental activists and some religious figures have expressed concerns about the impact construction could have on Mount Hatis’ natural landscape and historical significance. 

Armenia, recognized as the first nation to adopt Christianity as a state religion in 301 AD, sees the project as a symbol of faith and national identity. Despite the controversy, construction efforts are continuing as the country moves forward with one of the most ambitious religious monuments ever attempted.

Markiplier has officially confirmed a major and unconventional release strategy for his upcoming horror film Iron Lung, revealing that the movie will be available for digital purchase exclusively through YouTube.

Iron Lung is an upcoming independent horror film directed by Markiplier, based on the critically acclaimed indie horror game of the same name. The story is set in a dystopian future where humanity has been pushed into survival mode after a catastrophic cosmic event, leaving the remnants of civilization dependent on exploration missions into deadly, unknown environments.

The film follows a lone pilot sent inside a small, submerged vessel, commonly referred to as an “iron lung” tasked with exploring a blood-filled ocean on a mysterious moon. Cut off from the outside world, the protagonist must document what they find while confronting isolation, fear, and the psychological strain of confinement.

Unlike conventional studio horror films, Iron Lung is being developed as a fully independent project, with a strong emphasis on atmosphere, tension, and minimalism rather than dialogue heavy storytelling. It has attracted significant attention due to both its unique premise and Markiplier’s involvement as both creator and lead figure behind the production.

The film is now also notable for its planned release strategy, which includes direct digital purchase via YouTube, positioning it as one of the most ambitious creator led film distribution experiments in recent years.

The decision has sparked significant interest across both the creator economy and film industry circles. Markiplier, already one of YouTube’s most influential personalities, is leveraging his audience to test whether a creator-driven film can bypass Hollywood gatekeeping while still achieving mainstream reach.

Hansi Flick has reportedly completed formal steps on a new contract agreement with FC Barcelona, extending his stay at the club as part of a long-term project aimed at sustained domestic and European success.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the ongoing Ebola outbreak in parts of Central and East Africa a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC), following a rising number of infections and fatalities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda.

Health officials confirmed that the outbreak has recorded more than 300 suspected cases and at least 88 deaths, with transmission clusters concentrated in eastern regions of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and cross-border infections detected in Uganda.

According to the WHO, the decision to declare a PHEIC is aimed at accelerating international coordination, mobilizing emergency funding, and strengthening containment measures, rather than signaling uncontrolled global spread.

Despite the severity of the outbreak, WHO officials emphasized that the situation does not meet the criteria for a pandemic. The organization also stated that there is no medical or epidemiological justification for closing international borders at this stage.

Instead, global health authorities are urging countries to focus on enhanced surveillance, rapid case detection, contact tracing, and infection prevention measures to contain the virus at its source.

The outbreak involves the Ebola virus disease, specifically linked to a less common strain that has historically shown high fatality rates and limited treatment options.

Health experts warn that the virus remains highly contagious through direct contact with bodily fluids of infected individuals or contaminated surfaces, making healthcare settings and close-contact communities particularly vulnerable.

Emergency response teams in both affected countries have been deployed to expand isolation units, improve laboratory testing capacity, and support vaccination and treatment efforts where available. Cross-border coordination between Congo and Uganda has also been intensified to track movement-linked infections.

The WHO stated that early containment remains critical, especially in regions with limited healthcare infrastructure and ongoing population movement across borders.

Power explained that while screenwriting felt more lonely and demanding than acting, the process became deeply fulfilling because it allowed her to tell an honest story about love in all its forms; the joy, the heartbreak, and the healing that follows.

Popular Nollywood actor Deyemi Okanlawon has sparked widespread conversation online after revealing that he would willingly step away from acting to become a stay at home husband if his wife earned between $1 million and $10 million annually.

The actor made the statement during a recent appearance on the Tea With Tay podcast hosted by Taymesan, where he discussed marriage, masculinity, financial roles in relationships, and modern family dynamics.

In a clip from the interview that has since gone viral across social media platforms, Okanlawon said:

“If my wife makes $1–10 million per annum, I’ll quit acting and be a house husband. I will carry my children to school and cook even though I don’t know how to cook.”

According to chart tracking reports, Drake surpassed the previous milestone held by legendary pop icon Michael Jackson after Views officially crossed the 10-year charting milestone. The Billboard 200 ranks the most popular albums in the United States based on sales, streaming activity, and track-equivalent albums.

Released in 2011, Take Care is widely regarded as one of Drake’s most important projects, helping redefine contemporary hip-hop and R&B with its emotional storytelling and atmospheric production. The album earned critical acclaim and featured hit songs such as “Marvins Room” and “Headlines.”
