Cardi B Vows to Fight Non-Payment Lawsuit Levied Against Her and ex-husband Offset

Cardi B vows to fight the lawsuit against her and her now-divorced husband Offset. In the lawsuit, the property owner of the mansion used in the music video of her hit single “Like What’ claims she and her estranged husband Offset duped them into using their property for the music video “without paying full market value.”

In response, the Grammy winner has vowed to defend herself against the “greedy owners.”“The problem is people wanna find loopholes and get over but IRON YOUR BEST SUIT BITCH, I’ll see you in court!!!” the Grammy-winning rapper wrote on X.

In her statement on X, Cardi B claimed the property owners were paid $10,000 in cash to use the property for 24 hours “We paid those people $10,000 IN CASH to rent the property for a whole 24 hours that same day 6am to 6am the next morning and we went over by ONE hour which we paid overage fees to the realtor for in March.” She also claimed the owners are trying to get more money from there through legal loopholes: “Now they wanna finesse us trying to say we told them it was a TikTok video when that was nowhere in the contract and like they didn’t hear the whole song playing and see how long we was shooting….Why would it take us 24 hours to shoot a TikTok? The problem is people wanna find loopholes and get over…”

To add to her defence Cardi B claims the owners were on set when the shoot was taking place: “There was cameras all over and both the realtors and the owners was there the ENTIRE time… I got pics and videos of them on set!!

According to the mansion owner’s 11-page complaint, Cardi and Offset had their eyes set on using the property’s highly distinctive design and “devised a plan” to use it “without paying full market value.” The property owner, Bi LLC, alleged the ex-couple reached out through their representatives in late 2023 or early 2024 and booked the house anonymously “under the false pretense” it would be used for a TikTok video. The house was previously home to Justin Bieber.

The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, which included still photographs from the video shoot and noted that the music video produced during the shoot, “Like What,” had garnered more than 26 million views on YouTube since its release six months ago.

Director Matt Reeves (The Batman) Reveals Why Arkham Asylum and Gotham PD Spin-Offs Were Cancelled

In 2022, Matt Reeves’ The Batman changed the reception of Batman to the big screen. Fans of The DC superhero-verse and Batman were expecting spinoffs to build Matt Reeves’ The Batman Universe. Unfortunately, only ‘The Penguin’ was greenlit as ‘Arkham Asylum’ and ‘Gotham PD’ were cancelled.

Director Matt Reeves called his The Batman Universe, “Batman Epic Crime Saga,’ and it will continue with Collin Farrell starring as Oswald Cobblepot in “The Penguin” limited TV Show which will premiere on September 19th on Max.

Matt Reeves reveals The Penguin show begins weeks after The Batman ends and will connect to The Batman 2.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Matt Reeves spoke about how the cinematic universe for The Batman began: “As we were writing the movie [The Batman], I was like, ‘Hey, you know what? I think there are some cool shows that we could do,” he said. “It was actually why I wanted to make our deal at Warner Bros.”

A character that Reeves was planning to explore was Riddler, unfortunately not all spin-offs were greenlit but the stories found a way to thread into The Penguin.

“They were like, ‘We like what you’re doing, and we want to lean harder into the marquee characters,” Reeves said, “what’s interesting is that, in the movie, the big red herring of the story is it seems like the person they’re looking for, that the Riddler’s pointing to must be the Penguin, some kind of informant. This movie creates a power vacuum, and because Penguin is so underestimated, people don’t really see who he is.”

In another universe, Prime Video is exploring the early days of Batman in The Caped Crusader an animated show premiering August 1st.

Biker Riding From Kenya To Nigeria Arrives Lagos After 118 Days

Udo Ebaide Joy, a Nigerian motorbiker took on the mantle of solo riding from Mumbasa, Kenya to Lagos Nigeria. After 118 days, Ebaide finally arrived at her destination, Lagos Nigeria.

Why? In a conversation she had with BBC Africa she said her riding journey was inspired by her will to live her life to the fullest, and for her it’s travelling and riding her motorbike.

Ebaide travelled through Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Zambia, Angola, Cameroon and then Nigeria. She describes the eery feeling she got travelling alone in the forest “I was so scared,” but remembers the joyous moments of travelling through those countries.

When she arrived in Lagos, to her surprise she was welcomed with a warm crowd singing and dancing.

In a post via Instagram, she said completing the cross-border solo ride challenge has positively changed her mindset.

To every biker who waited to welcome and ride with me to the venue, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Achieving this has caused a big shift in my mind. Suddenly, I have a myriad of things I want to do and I’m so sure will work, because I have achieved something I once thought was too hard to dare.
I want to PLAN, START and EXECUTE new things.
There is a part of my brain that believes anything I try will succeed, because I have the tenacity and resilience to see it through.

I am NOT the same person.
I have changed in the most positive ways.
I feel so privileged to have achieved this.

I can’t wait for many more exciting challenges I’ll go headlong into.
There has never been a better time to feel this alive!
It feels good to be here.

Udo Ebaide Joy who began her trip on March 8 will begin another solo trip in August from Nigeria to Morocco. The motorbiker made the trip on a two-wheeler she named “Rory”.
