Bruno Fernandes Named Premier League Player of the Season

Manchester United skipper Bruno Fernandes has officially been named the Premier League Player of the Season, sealing a sensational campaign that saw him dominate English football from midfield.

The Portuguese playmaker enjoyed a remarkable season, producing elite creative numbers that powered Manchester United to a third-place finish and a return to the UEFA Champions League. Fernandes registered 8 goals and a league-leading 20 assists, equaling the Premier League single-season assist record held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.

From late winners to game-controlling performances, the United captain consistently showed up when it mattered most. His ability to dictate tempo, unlock defences, and lead by example made him the standout performer in a season packed with elite talent.

This award also reflects Manchester United’s overall resurgence, with Fernandes acting as the engine behind their push back into Champions League qualification. Beyond the stats, his leadership on and off the pitch proved just as valuable, guiding a relatively inconsistent squad through pressure filled periods.

The Premier League Player of the Season recognition now adds another major honour to Fernandes’ growing legacy at Old Trafford, further sealing his place among the league’s modern greats.

Max Dowman Becomes Youngest Player to Win the Premier League Title with Arsenal

Arsenal teenager Max Dowman has made Premier League history after becoming the youngest player ever to win the English top title, following the club’s 2025/26 championship triumph.

The 16-year-old attacking midfielder achieved the milestone at just 16 years and 139 days, capping off a breakthrough season in which he was fully integrated into Arsenal’s first team squad under manager Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal were officially crowned champions after Manchester City draw against Bournemouth confirmed their unbeatable lead at the top of the table, sealing a 22 years premier league trophy drought for the North London club.

Dowman’s rise has been one of the standout stories of the campaign. Having joined Arsenal’s academy at the age of five, he rapidly progressed through the ranks, making a name for himself in youth football before earning senior call up.

He made his Premier League debut in August 2025 at just 15 years old, becoming one of the youngest players ever to feature in the competition. His rapid development continued across all competitions, including appearances in the Premier League, domestic cups, and the UEFA Champions League.

One of his defining moments came in March 2026, when he scored a late winning goal against Everton, becoming the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history at 16 years and 73 days.

With his involvement in Arsenal’s title-winning campaign, Dowman has now surpassed previous records held by players such as Phil Foden, becoming the youngest player ever to be part of a Premier League-winning squad.

Primarily deployed as a right winger or attacking midfielder, Dowman has impressed with his close control, dribbling ability, and confidence beyond his years.

At just 16, Max Dowman is already a record-holder and Premier League champion. His rapid rise from academy prospect to first-team contributor marks him as one of the most closely watched young talents in world football.
