Forza Horizon 6 Release Date Confirmed at Xbox Developer Direct — Launch Set for May 2026

Microsoft has officially confirmed the release date for Forza Horizon 6, ending months of speculation around the next entry in the popular open-world racing franchise.

The announcement was made during today’s Xbox Developer Direct livestream, where the company revealed that the game is only a few months away from release.

Forza Horizon 6 Official Release Date

Forza Horizon 6 will launch on May 19, 2026.

The game is scheduled to release on:

  • Xbox Series X|S
  • PC (Windows)

Players who purchase select premium editions will gain early access starting May 15, 2026.

Microsoft also confirmed that the title will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass, continuing the franchise’s long-standing partnership with the subscription service.

The confirmation came during Microsoft’s Xbox Developer Direct, a livestream event focused on upcoming first-party titles and major releases across the Xbox ecosystem.

While the presentation did not go deep into gameplay systems, the release window confirmation alone marked a major update for fans who have been waiting for official word on the next Forza Horizon game.

Further details regarding the game’s setting, car list, gameplay changes, and new features are expected to be revealed closer to launch.

Until then, Microsoft has not officially shared additional specifics beyond what was announced during the livestream.

The Forza Horizon series is one of Xbox’s biggest franchises, consistently ranking among the platform’s most-played racing titles. A May 2026 release places Forza Horizon 6 firmly within the first half of the year, giving players a clear window to prepare for its arrival.
