Euphoria Season 3: HBO’s Hit Drama Returns With a New Era for Rue and the Crew

After years of speculation, production delays, and endless fan theories, HBO’s cultural phenomenon Euphoria is finally returning for Season 3, marking a new chapter for one of television’s most talked-about dramas.

Since debuting in 2019, Euphoria has grown beyond a teen drama into a defining show about addiction, identity, friendship, trauma, and the emotional chaos of growing up in the digital age. Now, with the upcoming season, the series moves its characters beyond high school and into a more uncertain adult world.

And from early details, Season 3 may be the show’s biggest transformation yet.

Fans have waited nearly four years since Season 2 aired in early 2022. Production delays, industry strikes, and scheduling conflicts slowed development, leaving viewers unsure when the show would return.

HBO has now confirmed that Euphoria Season 3 premieres in April 2026, ending one of the longest waits between seasons for a major TV drama in recent years.

The new season is expected to continue the show’s tradition of emotionally intense storytelling and cinematic visuals, elements that helped turn the series into a global pop-culture conversation.

One of the biggest changes coming in Season 3 is a major time jump, moving the story forward several years.

Instead of picking up immediately after Season 2’s events, the characters are now adults dealing with life beyond high school; careers, independence, broken friendships, unresolved trauma, and real-world consequences.

This shift allows the series to evolve alongside its audience, many of whom have also grown since the show first premiered.

For viewers, this means familiar characters facing unfamiliar challenges, with relationships likely to change in unexpected ways.

Most of the main cast members are returning, ensuring continuity for longtime fans.

Expected returning stars include:

  • Zendaya as Rue Bennett
  • Hunter Schafer as Jules Vaughn
  • Sydney Sweeney as Cassie Howard
  • Jacob Elordi as Nate Jacobs
  • Alexa Demie as Maddy Perez
  • Maude Apatow as Lexi Howard
  • Colman Domingo as Ali Muhammed
  • Eric Dane as Cal Jacobs
  • Chloe Cherry as Faye

Several supporting characters are also expected back, while some roles may be reduced or absent due to storyline developments from Season 2.

Season 3 also expands its world with new characters, bringing in fresh energy and new story possibilities.

High-profile additions reportedly include musicians, film veterans, and unexpected celebrity names, signaling HBO’s intent to make the upcoming season feel larger and more ambitious.

New characters often reshape Euphoria’s social landscape, and Season 3 could introduce new alliances, conflicts, and emotional stakes.

Fans are particularly curious about whether Rue finds stability or falls deeper into chaos, a question central to the emotional core of the show.

With the long break between seasons, expectations are extremely high. Some viewers worry the gap may reduce momentum, while others believe the time jump could refresh the show and prevent it from repeating old storylines. Euphoria remains one of HBO’s most anticipated returning series, and its premiere will likely dominate online conversations once again.

Landman Season 3: Release Window, Story Direction, and What Comes Next After the Explosive Season 2 Finale

As Landman wraps its intense second season on Paramount+, which saw dramatic twists, the neo-Western oil drama has already locked in a third season, much to the excitement of its global fanbase, myself number one.

Landman; created by Taylor Sheridan and starring Billy Bob Thornton as oil-savvy Tommy Norris; has been one of Paramount+’s biggest hits. Season 2 not only drew in millions of viewers but also significantly outpaced the show’s first season in early viewership metrics, helping to justify a swift renewal decision early in the season’s run.

Paramount+ officially confirmed the third season in December 2025, before Season 2 had even finished airing.

While there’s no official release date yet, patterns from previous seasons suggest that Season 3 could drop in the latter part of 2026, possibly in November or December. That pattern follows Season 1 and Season 2, both of which premiered in mid-November of their respective years.

Production is expected to begin in spring 2026, giving the creative team time to craft the next chapter of Tommy Norris’s journey in the volatile world of oil and family politics.

Season 2 ended with a major shake-up: Tommy Norris was fired by Cami Miller (played by Demi Moore) from the helm of M-Tex Oil; but rather than bow out, he launched a new company, CTT Oil Exploration and Cattle, bringing key allies and family members into his Park.

That storyline sets the stage for a fresh narrative direction in Season 3, with Landman poised to explore:

  • Tommy’s new business challenges and rivalries as he attempts to build CTT Oil from the ground up.
  • Shifting alliances and personal stakes as old relationships are tested in and out of the boardroom.
  • Family dynamics, especially with Tommy’s children; including his daughter Ainsley and son Cooper each facing their own trials and roles in the new company’s future.

With Landman’s storytelling rooted in power, loyalty, betrayal, and the rough-edged world of West Texas oil, fans can reasonably expect a mix of personal drama and high-stakes industry conflict when Season 3 unfolds.

Though no official cast list has been released yet, most of the core ensemble from Season 2 is expected to return. That includes:

  • Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris
  • Ali Larter as Angela Norris
  • Michelle Randolph as Ainsley Norris
  • Jacob Lofland as Cooper
  • Colm Feore, Kayla Wallace, and others featured prominently in Season 2.

Thornton himself has publicly dismissed rumors that he would leave the show after Season 2, calling those reports “AI-generated” stating that he plans to return for Season 3.

God of War Live-Action Series Cast: Ryan Hurst as Kratos, Teresa Palmer as Sif, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson as Thor

Amazon Prime Video’s highly anticipated God of War live-action adaptation is beginning to take clear shape, with two major casting confirmations now official.

The series has cast Ryan Hurst as the iconic Spartan warrior Kratos, while Teresa Palmer has been confirmed to portray Sif, the Norse goddess and wife of Thor.

The announcements mark a significant step forward for one of the most ambitious video game adaptations currently in development.

Confirmed Cast Members

Ryan Hurst as Kratos

Ryan Hurst (Sons of Anarchy, The Walking Dead) will take on the role of Kratos, the Ghost of Sparta.

Hurst is no stranger to the God of War universe, having previously voiced Thor in God of War Ragnarök. His casting suggests a deliberate effort by Amazon and Sony to preserve the emotional and tonal identity that defines the franchise.

In the series, Kratos is expected to be portrayed during his Norse era, a version of the character shaped by loss, restraint, and fatherhood rather than unchecked rage.

Teresa Palmer as Sif

Teresa Palmer has officially been cast as Sif, a prominent Norse goddess and the wife of Thor.

In Norse mythology and in the God of War games; Sif is associated with strength, dignity, and resilience. Her character plays a key role in the political and emotional dynamics of the Norse gods, particularly within Asgard.

Palmer’s casting signals that the series will meaningfully explore the Norse pantheon, rather than limiting its focus solely to Kratos and his immediate journey.

Amazon has confirmed that the live-action series will primarily adapt the storyline of God of War (2018), the critically acclaimed reboot that redefined the franchise.

Ólafur Darri Ólafsson as Thor

Icelandic actor Ólafur Darri Ólafsson (The Northman, Lamb) has been cast as Thor, the god of thunder.

Thor’s inclusion confirms that the series will portray key Norse mythological figures and major conflicts from the God of War universe. Ólafsson brings gravitas and experience to the role, promising a compelling live-action portrayal of the legendary god.

Production & Creative Team

The God of War series is being produced by Amazon MGM Studios in partnership with Sony Pictures Television.

The project is overseen by Ronald D. Moore, the acclaimed writer and producer behind Battlestar Galactica and Outlander. The show has already received a two-season order, reflecting Amazon’s confidence in the adaptation.

Filming is expected to take place in Vancouver, though a specific production start date has not yet been publicly confirmed.

Amazon has confirmed that the series will adapt the 2018 God of War storyline, which follows Kratos and his son Atreus in the Norse realms.

The series is expected to explore:

  • Kratos’ father-son dynamic with Atreus
  • Themes of redemption, legacy, and restraint
  • Conflicts between gods, giants, and mortals

As of now, no actor has been officially confirmed as Atreus, though announcements are expected in the future.

What Remains Unconfirmed

To avoid misinformation, here’s what has not yet been officially announced:

  • Casting for Atreus
  • Additional Norse gods beyond Sif
  • An official release date or trailer

HBO Explores Possible Game of Thrones Sequel Series Centered on Arya Stark

HBO is once again looking beyond Westeros.

According to a recent reports, a new Game of Thrones sequel series is currently being explored, with early creative discussions still ongoing. While no final decision has been made about the story or characters, sources say Arya Stark is one of the possible focal points being considered.

At this stage, the project remains firmly in development, meaning there is no official series order, no script, and no production timeline.

Arya Stark’s ending in Game of Thrones season eight left one of the franchise’s most open-ended storylines. Instead of settling into Westerosi politics, she chose to sail west of the known world; a narrative thread that has never been explored on screen.

That unresolved journey is reportedly what makes Arya an attractive option for HBO as it continues expanding the Game of Thrones universe. Unlike prequel projects such as House of the Dragon, an Arya-led sequel would move the franchise forward in time, offering new locations, cultures, and stories beyond the Seven Kingdoms.

It’s important to stress that this is not a confirmed series.

It’s key to note that the story is still being shaped, and HBO has not committed to any specific character, plot direction, or creative team. The network has a history of developing multiple Game of Thrones ideas simultaneously, many of which never make it past the concept stage.

This also follows the quiet shelving of the previously discussed Jon Snow sequel, suggesting HBO is being cautious about how  and whether it revisits characters from the original series.

With House of the Dragon proving that audiences are still invested in George R. R. Martin’s world, HBO appears open to both prequels and sequels, provided the story feels fresh and justified.

HBO is exploring its options, the story is undecided, and nothing has been officially announced. But the fact that discussions are happening at all signals that the world of Game of Thrones may not be done with its most fearless Stark just yet.

‘Pluribus’ Becomes Apple TV+’s Biggest Series to Date

Apple TV+ has a new record-breaker on its hands.

According to new data released by the streamer and reported by Deadline, Pluribus, the science-fiction drama created by Vince Gilligan, has officially become the biggest series launch in Apple TV+ history, surpassing all previous originals on the platform in viewership and engagement.

The milestone estabished Pluribus as Apple TV+’s most successful series to date, both in terms of audience reach and impact.

Apple confirmed that Pluribus delivered the largest global audience ever for an Apple TV+ original series within its debut window. The show also drove a noticeable spike in new subscriptions and viewing hours, outperforming past hits such as Severance, The Morning Show, and Slow Horses.

While Apple did not release exact numbers, industry sources describe the performance as “unprecedented” for the platform, marking a major moment in Apple TV+’s original content strategy.

Vince Gilligan’s Return Pays Off

Created by Vince Gilligan, best known for Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, Pluribus marked his first project since concluding the Better Call Saul universe. Expectations were already high, but the series has exceeded them commercially and critically.

The show stars Rhea Seehorn, reuniting her with Gilligan after their acclaimed collaboration on Better Call Saul. Her performance has been widely praised and has already earned major awards recognition during the ongoing awards season.

Beyond its viewership success, Pluribus has emerged as a critical favorite. The series has scored strong reviews for its writing, performances, and thematic depth, with particular attention on Seehorn’s lead role.

The show’s success at major awards ceremonies has further boosted its visibility, helping it cross over from prestige television into mainstream conversation.

Pluribus is a science-fiction drama centered on a world-altering phenomenon that transforms humanity into a shared, collective consciousness. The series explores identity, autonomy, morality, and what it truly means to be human.

Rather than leaning heavily on spectacle, the show focuses on character-driven tension and philosophical questions, a creative choice that has resonated strongly with viewers.

A Defining Moment for Apple TV+

The success of Pluribus represents a significant moment for Apple TV+ as it continues to compete with established streaming giants. Landing its biggest series ever underlines the platform’s growing reputation for premium, creator-driven television.

With a second season already in development, Pluribus is positioned as a long-term flagship series for Apple TV+.

Bill Skarsgård is Returning as Pennywise to ‘It’ Prequel Series, ‘Welcome to Derry’

Bill Skarsgård will be back to play his role as Pennywise in the upcoming ‘It’ prequel series ‘Welcome to Derry’, a Max series.

The actor will take on his role as the horrific clown as he did in the 2017 films It and It: Chapter Two, Skarsgård is also named as an executive producer on the upcoming show. The series will explore Pennywise‘s origin story.

He will reunite with the director of It and It Chapter Two, Andy Muschietti, and Barbara Muschietti, producer, to bring this show to life.

In March last year, Skarsgård announced he was “not involved” with the upcoming prequel, but made a U-turn earlier this year.

Skarsgård will also join cast members Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, and James Remar in Stephen King’s “It” book adaptation. His last Stephen King adaptation was Castle Rock (2018–2019). Warner Bros. Television is expected to take over the production.

Max originally ordered Welcome to Derry to series in February 2023. Of the new series, the Muschiettis said in a statement, “As teenagers, we took turns reading chapters of Stephen King’s It until the thick paperback fell to pieces. It is an epic story that contains multitudes, far beyond what we could explore in our It movies. We can’t wait to share the depths of Steve’s novel, in all its heart, humor, humanity and horror.” [Consequence Film].

Bill Skarsgård will headline the upcoming remake of Nosferatu as the creepy Count Orlok and will star alongside FKA Twigs in the new adaptation of The Crow.

The title “Welcome to Derry” is rumoured to be subject to change, and Andy Muschietti is expected to direct four out of nine episodes of the show. Welcome to Derry was scheduled to be released this Halloween, but HBO and Max chairman/CEO Casey Bloys has suggested 2025 is now more likely.
