The development became public after Carter Efe shared an official email from Twitch on X (formerly Twitter), confirming that his account, “carterefe,” had been placed under a temporary global suspension.
According to the email, Twitch said the action was taken after reviewing content or activity associated with the account and determining that it did not fully comply with the platform’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
“Based on a review of your activity or content, we have issued a global suspension on your account,” the email read.
A global suspension on Twitch temporarily restricts a user’s access to the platform. Twitch also noted that repeated violations could result in longer suspensions or a permanent ban.
