Nigerian content creator Carter Efe’s Twitch account has been reinstated, days after the platform placed it under a temporary suspension.
The update was confirmed after the account, “carterefe,” became accessible again on Twitch, indicating that the platform has lifted the restriction imposed following a review of his content.
Twitch had earlier issued a temporary global suspension, citing violations of its Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, a decision Carter Efe publicly acknowledged by sharing the suspension email on X (formerly Twitter). The platform, however, did not disclose specific details about the content that led to the action.
With the suspension now lifted, Carter Efe is cleared to resume streaming and normal activities on Twitch, marking a quick turnaround in a situation that drew attention across Nigerian social media and the creator community.

Twitch has temporarily suspended the account of Nigerian content creator Carter Efe, following a review of activity on his channel.
The development became public after Carter Efe shared an official email from Twitch on X (formerly Twitter), confirming that his account, “carterefe,” had been placed under a temporary global suspension.
According to the email, Twitch said the action was taken after reviewing content or activity associated with the account and determining that it did not fully comply with the platform’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
“Based on a review of your activity or content, we have issued a global suspension on your account,” the email read.
A global suspension on Twitch temporarily restricts a user’s access to the platform. During this period, the affected account cannot stream, interact normally, or access Twitch services until the suspension is lifted. Twitch also noted that repeated violations could result in longer suspensions or a permanent ban.
Notably, Twitch did not disclose the specific content or action that led to the suspension, a standard practice in many moderation cases on the platform.
The suspension comes at a time when Carter Efe has been gaining increased visibility on Twitch, following a surge in followers from recent high-profile livestreams including that of Davido, hitting the record for highest streamer on the platform.
