Landman; created by Taylor Sheridan and starring Billy Bob Thornton as oil-savvy Tommy Norris; has been one of Paramount+’s biggest hits. Season 2 not only drew in millions of viewers but also significantly outpaced the show’s first season in early viewership metrics, helping to justify a swift renewal decision early in the season’s run.
Paramount+ officially confirmed the third season in December 2025, before Season 2 had even finished airing.
While there’s no official release date yet, patterns from previous seasons suggest that Season 3 could drop in the latter part of 2026, possibly in November or December. That pattern follows Season 1 and Season 2, both of which premiered in mid-November of their respective years.
Production is expected to begin in spring 2026, giving the creative team time to craft the next chapter of Tommy Norris’s journey in the volatile world of oil and family politics.
Season 2 ended with a major shake-up: Tommy Norris was fired by Cami Miller (played by Demi Moore) from the helm of M-Tex Oil; but rather than bow out, he launched a new company, CTT Oil Exploration and Cattle, bringing key allies and family members into his Park.
That storyline sets the stage for a fresh narrative direction in Season 3, with Landman poised to explore:
- Tommy’s new business challenges and rivalries as he attempts to build CTT Oil from the ground up.
- Shifting alliances and personal stakes as old relationships are tested in and out of the boardroom.

Though no official cast list has been released yet, most of the core ensemble from Season 2 is expected to return. That includes:

- Jacob Lofland as Cooper
- Colm Feore, Kayla Wallace, and others featured prominently in Season 2.
Thornton himself has publicly dismissed rumors that he would leave the show after Season 2, calling those reports “AI-generated” stating that he plans to return for Season 3.
